His name is synonymous with some of the most famous diamonds in history, and today Laurence Graff unveiled his latest extraordinary stone: the 302.37ct Graff Lesedi La Rona, the principal stone hewn from the 1,109ct rough diamond of the same name.
The square-emerald cut diamond is the largest of its quality ever graded by the GIA.
It is a D-colour diamond, the highest colour rating awarded by the GIA, meaning it is completely colourless and, while its clarity rating has not yet been released, a Graff spokesperson said the stone is of "exceptionally high clarity", adding that it is the "largest, highest colour, highest clarity diamond ever certified by the GIA".
